LAS VEGAS – The silver and black is joining the blue and gray at Opportunity Village.
Opportunity Village is proud to announce Raiders president Marc Badain is the newest member of the organization’s Foundation Board, which aims to serve adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Southern Nevada.
“It is a pleasure and honor to welcome Marc Badain, President of the Las Vegas Raiders, as the newest member of the Opportunity Village Foundation Board. The Raiders organization has a long history of community involvement and we look forward to Mr. Badain’s input and support as we team up to serve the needs of Opportunity Village clients and their families,” said Tom Thomas, long-standing member of the Opportunity Village Foundation Board of Directors.
Badain, who was instrumental in securing the Raiders’ new stadium in Las Vegas, was elected to the 24-person board in January. He, along with Raiders owner Mark Davis, previously attended Opportunity Village’s annual black-tie gala – Camelot – in November.
Before becoming president of the Raiders, Badain started with the team as an intern in Los Angeles in 1991. He was named the chief financial officer in 2004 and eventually became the interim president in 2013. The interim tag was removed in 2015.
