Opportunity Village Announces Thrift Store Relocation and Grand Reopening Celebration
LAS VEGAS (Nov. 4, 2024) – A new era is beginning at the Opportunity Village Thrift Store soon, and to celebrate, most everything is on sale for $.99 this week.
On Nov. 11, the current location of the OV Thrift Store will close as the shop relocates across the shopping center and reopens with a celebration at 9 a.m., Dec. 2. The thrift store is taking over the former Dollar Tree space at 324 S. Decatur Blvd. in the Decatur Meadows Shopping Center at Decatur Blvd. and Meadows Lane.
Once reopen in its new space, the Opportunity Village Thrift Store will accept donations onsite and offer a selection of new and gently used items for sale, with all proceeds going to Opportunity Village and its mission to employ, empower, and serve people with disabilities in our community.
“This move gives us a chance to reimagine the thrift store experience for our customers, and we hope they love the beautiful new layout of the shop,” said Bob Brown, president and CEO of Opportunity Village. “We can’t wait for everyone to join us in the new space on Dec. 2.”
The new store will include the popular OV Thrift Plus section, a curated collection inside the Opportunity Village Thrift Store that features high-end, designer, and unique finds. In addition, the thrift store will sell furniture, clothing, home and garden essentials, and seasonal décor items. Those looking to donate items to the Opportunity Village Thrift Store can do so onsite at the shop itself, or the store’s satellite donation location in the parking lot of The Crossing Church at 7950 W. Windmill Lane.
Shoppers can look for regular updates on the Opportunity Village Thrift Store on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook @OVThriftStore and @OppVillageLV.
